Mickey Magazine #74 from Belgium - March 7, 1952

Back on track, date-wise that is, with #6 in the series.
Here we find Alice in the White Rabbit's house, about to repeat history...will she never learn?

I like that cover.

I don't know why, but I find it fascinating that Disney characters tend to look subtly different when drawn by European artists. When I was a kid I saw some Italian comic strips, and even then I could sense the contrast.

Now I'm going to look at the mermaids from your last post. Again.

Let's combine the last two entries, shall we? The Queen of Hearts slips on a mermaid costume! *grins and holds up hands enthusiastically, as though he's expecting everyone to agree*

Yeah, the art of these comics are definitely better than the American Disney Alice comics I have (no offense to the artist(s) of those comics).

To Major Pepperidge:

But this is American art! Its a reprint of the 1951 newspaper comic strip adaptation of Alice (16 weeks, Sunday only), with art by Manuel Gonzales & Dick Moores. See this link for more info: http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=ZS+51-09-02
