Big Alice in the Tulgey Wood with the Mother Bird Layout Drawing

This marks my 800th post, hard to believe!  This layout is a little rougher than most we've seen, but notice that the basic shape of the trees matches quite well.
My wife's least favorite part of the film with the annoying Mother Bird, and certainly the creepiest renditions of Alice in all the various incarnations with her hugely stretched neck.

I didn’t think this scene turned out well. Alice is nearly totally covered by the trees, so you can’t really tell how misshapen she’s supposed to be. It looks like she’s just a giant, except her neck looks a little stretched. It’s definitely not as clear as the original book scene that explicitly said she could curve her neck.

Yet this is the ONLY adaptation that includes the Bird's "Serpent!" scene from the book. More faithful versions never include this bit, yet Disney did.
