Character Study Drawing of Alice in 3/4 View by Clair Weeks

The second of my two Clair Weeks drawings shows Alice in 3/4 view, looking sleepy.  In reality she is probably mid-blink or changing expressions, but I love the feel of this drawing.  It's as if we've caught Alice nodding off.  Beautiful.  Thank you Clair Weeks, you were a sweet and generous man and I'm glad I had the opportunity to get to know you.

Hello, my name is Allie Weeks, and Clair Weeks is my great uncle. I was doing some research, when I came across your blog. He died four months after I was born, so I never got to meet him or really know him. I'd love it if you had some personal stories about him, or posts about his life other than biographical sutff. Thanks :)

Hi Allie! I met your great uncle only twice, and he was a lovely man. He was kind enough to sell these two drawings and sign them for me. He did tell some stories about when he was leaving Disney to go teach animation overseas and how Walt kept trying to convince him to stay. I wish I could have known him better, but I'm glad I got to meet him. One of the nicest people I've ever met.
